The Fanelli Family

As most of you know, today was our court date. Our documents came in at 11:20 on the train and our court time was 11:30. We got to the court house at...11:30 on the dot. When Tyler saw Zach, it was one happy reunion. The court was already in session for another American family, so we waited about 30 minutes. When it was our turn, we all filed in to the judges office (there were 16 of us I think!) and we went through the proceedings. Tom petitioned, they asked us a few questions, each of the education directors spoke, each of the orphanage directors spoke and then Tom petitioned again and we asked to change their names and then we stepped out while a decision was made (they had to have some time to type the official document). About 5 minutes later we were called back in and the judge read the decision (it was GOOD) and we are now in the 10 day waiting period. We pick up the boys and they are forever ours starting on December 16th. We still have a few days of paperwork after that but we will soon be on the downward side of the hill. And we will soon have two boys! And may we present...The Fanelli Family!!!
P.S. We found out today that our younger son...Zach - is about 2 inches taller than Tyler!!! Zach is on the left(in front of me), Ty is on the right (in front of Tom). Of course they are only 10 months apart - but Zach - who looked so small to us, is actually quite a bit bigger than his big brother (but, Tom says, Tyler is stronger!)

The picture is worth ten million words my friends. I just thought of the day we were in Chicago when we prayed over the originial documents before you tried to FED EX them asking for an appointment! 10 months later, we see the answer to those prayers and the thousands that have been uttered since.

HOW AWESOME! Its great to see the tired lines and tension gone from your faces! You're a good lookin family!

The adventure has begun.

Welcome to the family Ty and Zach. May you know your mom and dad have been looking for and waiting for you all of your lives!

Can't stop the tears either

Tom and Lois, The "Fannelli Family" picture is totally awesome. Wow, I still remember the night you brought up in small group at Russ and Connie's that you wanted us to start praying about the possiblity of adopting children in the Ukraine. God totally has heard and answered our prayers far more than we could ever imagine. We begin the countdown with everyone.

Love, Art, Linda, Molly and Maggie

They look so happy and you two do also. I was telling my kids that it is a good thing we got several different sleds on sale so that Uncle TOM can take all the kids down to the park for sledding!!! Probably the only one to be able to handle this cold weather. Hope we have some warmer weather with enough snow (not too much) so that the kids can enjoy sledding together. I'm so excited for you guys. I'm excited for the blessings Zach and Tyler and you two as parents will be enjoying from now on. Just a few more days to make it official official.

Prayers continue for the Fanelli Four to return healthy and smoothly.

love, Margaret

Tom & Lois:
I have been reading this since I got my newsletter from the church with the info about your plans. What a blessing...and you will be continuely blessed everyday with those boys. They are so lucky to have such great parents and you are blessed. It just gave me God Bumps when I saw your picture...I have been filling Duane (my husband..LOL that sounds as funny as you having kids...LOl) about you and Tom and how you have wanted kids for so long. Maybe we can see you sometime when we come to visit Dennis & Eileen. Take care and have a safe trip home.
Merry Christmas

tom and lois,
What an awesome God we serve!!!! Great to see your new family. They don't look very tall!! As soon as you get them back here we will start with the basketball classes. Need someone to watch when Kyle is done. Made me cry when I saw the picture. Also made me realize in my times of "lack of faith" that God is always faithful. Just in His time. I love you guys and can't wait to see your boys!!! I love you all.
