Little bits of broken hearts

Today we got to see Tyler. He was outside when we got there and when they found out we were there, they made him come inside and change his clothes. Since it is the weekend, he wasn't allowed to leave (no one had been told anything apparently). We had the perimeter we could walk. We also has Vasya to interpret and that was a first - we have been going it alone with Zach. Ty and Vasya talked - well, Ty talked and Vasya listened. Ty talked about his mother, his father, the boyfriends, grandma and generally about the not so great life he had. He also told us that Zach was moved to another orphanage because he was getting beaten up by older kids and was acting out because of it (can't blame him there!) anyway, you get the idea - these boys have had a rough life to this point.

Please pray that they can learn to trust again and that they can be little boys. Ty strikes me as knowing too much responsibility for his 9 years. He told us he was responsible for his little brother before they were in the orphanage and in the orphanage, too. Pray that we get this all in one court - it could cost a lot more, but in the long run, would be worth it. Pray for Tom and I - this is a lot of heart-wrenching stuff to have to hear and not be able to do anything with. It just IS.

Thank you for your prayers - keep em coming!

Tom & Lois,

You know that we are lifting you up - and that we will continue to pray for all 4 of you - for the healing, the trust and for a speedy process.

We love each of you and pray that you will stay stong, and that Ty & Zach will see not only the love you have for the Lord and for each other - but the love that you already have for them!

Stay stong and know that God is in control!

Love you and God bless,

The Osborne family

We will certainly lift up these precious little boys. We pray that the Love of God will lift their spirits, and that they will see and understand genuine love. We will pray that their hearts will learn quickly to trust. Also, we will pray for you two, that you are able to deal with all that you are learning about your boys, and that you are able to only have one court for both adoptions. We love you guys.

Tom & Lois, don't forget ...

4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. (Isa 53:4-5).

14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? (2Co 2:14-16). ...

4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (2Co 3:4-6).

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. (Col 1:29).

We love you.

In the unfathomable riches of His grace,

R&J

Ty abd Zack are blessed to have parents that will listen when it hurts and stay and ask for more. God will heal them through you, but you will bear their pain through the process. That's what parents do. It's called unconditional love.

As sad as the past makes me for the boys, I am so excited that God saw fit to give them a different future with you! Again, i can't think of two more loving and caring people to show these boys what love is the way Jesus meant it to be!

Remember, nothing is impossible with God. He's the one who will give you wisdom as you help these boys grow into men after God's own heart. One day, the saddness they have lived through will be lost in years of joy and healing through your love and support! That's an awesome thought!

Can't wait to shower Zach and Ty with love and hugs

Tom & Lois,
Remember that Jesus is the Great Physician, and that He specializes in healing broken hearts--and we're praying that Ty & Zach will feel Jesus' love and healing touch through you and each one of us. Praying for their healing from the past, and for wisdom that we all can know how to minister to them. Ty & Zach couldn't have more loving, compassionate parents than you. Remember, God makes all things beautiful in His time.
God brought to mind some verses from our Beth Moore Bible study "Breaking Free". Praying they will encourage you.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor."
Isaiah 61:1-3

"God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work."
II Corinthians 9:8

"For with God, nothing is impossible." Matthew 17:20

"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will." Psalm 37:5

Keep trusting in God--He's with you every step of the way!

With our love & prayers,
Gloria & Dan
